Top Bar Hives

The top bar hive is also sometimes more precisely called the "horizontal top bar hive." This hive can be perfect for natural beekeeping, both for the garden or beekeeping business. It is extremely simple to build, bees seem to love it, harvesting honey is uncomplicated and it doesn't involve the heavy lifting of hive sections as what happens with conventional hives.

The Dodecahedron Beehive

More and more people seeking beekeeping information want to know about the dodecahedron hive. It's one of the most intriguing honeybee hives I've ever encountered, and definitely a gift to natural beekeeping. It was invented by Ron Breland of West Nyack, New York, who provided the photo for this article.
